Staff Spotlight: Lucas Weddle, Programming Director
by Gwen Howerton
What was the first band or artist that solidified your love of music?
I’d say Frightened Rabbit was the first band I ever really found on my own and the first band that really made me think about how music can make me feel. I had just never really heard music with that much emotion in it before and it made me realize the peaks that music can really reach.
How did you first hear about KANM, and what made you want to join?
My old roommate knew about it from being friends with a member and suggested I join! Seemed like a fun time, but seeing the station for the first time and meeting the officers made me realize how chill and fun it would be.
What is your favorite memory from your time in KANM?
Save the Music 2021 was an absolutely killer time and I can’t wait for the next one.
Do you have a show? If so, what’s your favorite part about doing a show?
I’ve been off and on for shows, I don’t have one this semester though. But I always enjoyed it! It’s nice to set aside an hour every week to ignore school and stress and just get to play music and talk.
Who are your favorite artists right now?
The Mountain Goats are an all-timer, but I’ve been listening to a lot of Black Country, New Road and Wolf Alice recently!
What other extracurriculars are you involved in here at A&M?
Lmao I’m not.
What’s your major, and what are your plans for after graduation?
I’m a BMEN senior, and uhhh who’s to say. Gonna go work somewhere I think
