KANM Participating with KEXP for Under the Needle Series
SEATTLE – (KEXP) Officials with KEXP has announced the launch of a new syndicated weekly series Under the Needle: the KEXP Sessions. The station hosts over 400 live in-studio sessions each year, and Under the Needle will feature the best of these sessions, making them available at no cost to college and community radio stations. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) is helping fund the series. Twenty-nine stations are participating in Under the Needle, including KANM Student Radio. KANM is the only Texas-based station to participate in Under the Needle. The program launched September 14 with a performance by Courtney Barnett, followed by Mac DeMarco and FKA Twigs. Past shows can be accessed here. Upcoming artists include Young Fathers, Algiers, Purity Ring, Parquet Courts, Built to Spill and The War on Drugs.
