Float the River & Listen to Live Music
Float Fest is BACK for yet another year of floating the river and getting to see some of your favorite bands play live on two stages. They are bringing a loaded lineup of artists across multiple genres to San Marcos including Tame Impala, Bassnectar, Snoop Dogg, Modest Mouse, Cold War Kids, Run the Jewels, Lil Wayne, Joywave, and more! This two-day music festival happening on July 21-22 is the only one of its kind in the world, combining a Texas summer tradition of floating the river along with live music. According to its press release, the fest hosts over 20,000 music fans each day and also offers camping and tubing along the San Marcos river. Personally, one of my favorite things about this festival is that although there are two stages, there are no overlapping sets, so you are able see every band! If you’re heading out to the fest this weekend, be sure to plan ahead so you can catch all of your favorite artists: SATURDAY, July 21 WATER STAGE: 11:30 PM – 1:00 AM: Bassnectar 9:00 PM – 10:15 PM: Modest Mouse 6:45 PM – 7:45 PM: Cashmere Cat 5:15 PM – 6:00 PM: The Suffers 3:45 PM – 4:30 PM: Com Truise 2:30 PM – 3:00 PM: Bronze Whale 2:00 PM: Doors Open SUN STAGE: 10:15 PM – 11:30 PM: Run The Jewels 7:45 PM – 9:00 PM: Lil Wayne 6:00 PM – 6:45 PM: Press Hall 4:30 PM – 5:15 PM: Bun B 3:00 PM – 3:45 PM: Grandson 2:00 PM – 2:30 PM: The Wild Now 2:00 PM: Doors Open SUNDAY, July 22 WATER STAGE: 9:30 PM – 11:00 PM: Tame Impala 7:00 PM – 8:15 PM: Snoop Dogg 5:15 PM – 6:00 PM: White Denim 3:45 PM – 4:30 PM: Blackillac 2:30 PM – 3:00 PM: Mainman 2:00 PM: Doors Open SUN STAGE: 8:15 PM – 9:30 PM: Cold War Kids 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Toadies 4:30 PM – 5:15 PM: Joywave 3:00 PM – 3:45 PM: A Giant Dog 2:00 PM – 2:30 PM: Vodi 2:00 PM: Doors Open For tickets, FAQ, and more important information about the fest, be sure to check out their website, floatfest.net.
