Interview

Take it to the Max (Frost)

May 3, 2017

Max Frost is one of those guys who radiates musician. The Austin native (because where else would he be from with an aura like that?) is warm, fun, and genuine. His musical career started early and has already led a long and diverse life. He got his start singing hooks on hip-hop songs and used them to explore his own musicality. From there on, he blossomed. Once he began making his own music, he had his unique sound down. Still now, Max makes most of his own music. He has producers help, but he sings and does the majority of the instrumentation himself. (Source: www.facebook.com/maxfrostmusic/) His music is upbeat, bouncy, and undeniably dance-y. His experience and skill shine through in his lyrics and instrumentation, but he keeps his sound young and fresh. He effortlessly blends a wide array of styles, from rock to hip-hop to pop. The two EPs he’s released so far are perfect for summer. His full album is in the works, so be looking for it soon! Max has a great energy live. His music means something to him, and that shines through in his performances. Though relatively young, he’s already toured with big names like Fitz and the Tantrums and Gary Clark Jr. (Source: www.facebook.com/maxfrostmusic/) I got the chance to talk with Max before his show on campus. He was refreshingly real and so much fun to talk to; we laughed almost as much as we talked. Check the interview out below!
