Frankenixon - Los Cojones del Diablo [BiFi, 2001]

The piano pop Frankenixon has produced is, in my opinion, some of the most underrated music that's come out in the last 5 years. This song (off of their first release- a 5-track self-titled EP), starts out with a laid back, jazzy piano line, and keyboardist/vocalist Evelyn Finch lets her fingers and her gorgeous vocals (I admittedly don't like many female vocalists at all, but am unashamedly in fucking love with this woman's voice) guide the song through all sorts of dyanmic levels before it errupts into a mess of weird squealing voices chanting "my friend" over and over, accompanied by a crazy-ass kazoo orchestra of sorts. If you're a piano-pop-whore like I am, this song is guaranteed to put a huge smile on your face.

[Note: Frankenixon recently changed their name to "The Sword of Exactly", if you're looking to stalk them or harrass them about how they need to play some freaking tour dates in Texas already. geez.]
